Baidu (BIDU) has teamed up with German automaker BMW Group to create self-driving cars. The quest puts the China search leader in a tech development drag race with global search leader Google (GOOGL) in developing self-driving vehicles. Under the code name “Vision Zero,” BMW said in a press release late Monday that its project with Baidu is designed to achieve “accident-free mobility” while enhancing comfort and efficiency for drivers in China, Scalper1 News
